Endowments create an ongoing income source, and is a wonderful way for donors to make a lasting gift to ERS. Because a permanent endowment is an invested pool of money that provides a reliable source of income in perpetuity, the organization can count on annual distributions for its charitable work. As additional gifts are made from multiple donors, the endowment grows over time to increase the annual revenue stream.
A strong endowment is essential for the long-term sustainability of a vibrant non-profit organization.
